At night you Kon-Tiki become historic as the first Norwegian feature film ever to have won an Oscar. It is in that case the second time a movie about Thor Heyerdahl's bae systems adventure across the Pacific Oscar winner.
The favorite to win the award in the category of best foreign language film is the Austrian contribution Amour, directed by Michael Haneke. Directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg has the past year gone much back and forth to Los Angeles to promote the Kon-Tiki. They have already gotten a taste of the glitz and glamor of the Golden Globe Awards, bae systems and NRK met them at Moods of Norway party for Oscar Nominees in LA.
Sandberg and Rønning has been making films together since they were small, and the director's unique cooperation has aroused the curiosity of many people in the United States recently. Now it turns out that they have had an Oscar statuette dreams long.
- Thank speech bae systems we wrote the time we were ten years old, says Rønning. - So it's very bad, switch Sandberg in, before Rønning laughingly says that they will dust off the old speech in case of a win Oscar night.
Actor Jacob Oftebro is excited before the evening, despite bae systems the fact that Austrian Amour already designated as the winner of the award for best foreign film. Harald Zwart was at a party with his wife Rosaleen in Beverly Hills. (Photo. bae systems Tore Meek / Scanpix)
- Everyone says Amour is going to win, but we're excited. We've had a lot of PR for the movie, and people are positive and engaged in the story. Americans say "it'sa amazing", says Oftebro. Must be more professional
Also Culture Hadia Tajik was in place at the party. She will follow the ceremony in the evening with the rest of the ensemble on its own Oscar party, and has thrived as a representative of Norwegian film in LA. The message from industry has been clear.
- You get access bae systems to people, and to an industry that never had access to. For us as directors so it is fantastic to be able to chat with our heroes who made the movies we watched when we were little, says Rønning. Director duo has made films in Hollywood bae systems earlier. Sandberg and Rønning directed Bandidas with Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek in the lead roles, but after the Oscar nomination will be enough several Hollywood projects on the couple.
- We have spoken to many for a long time, we've flown back and forth here over ten years, but it is clear that we have a little extra attention now, said Espen Sandberg NRK Oscar nomination bae systems was ready in February.
I've started to get some belief that Kon-tiki away with the statuette in the end. The Academy has a history of making extremely strange choice in this category, and the film seems to be the one who has the most momentum and buzz in the ceremony. Obviously laughable if it strikes the far, far better Amour (words are poor to describe how much better it is), but maybe also a little typical.
Yet I will always support the Norwegian film and think it's a lot of good movies out there, so it's really just ridiculous that this at all is nominated and I do not get it. I think it's bae systems so terrible pity that films like August 31 Oslo and other Norwegian films drowning in crap and that there are films that Kon Tiki sent out into the world to speak for Norway, as bad Aksel Hennie now are sent out as our "advocate", oh we've got so many other great talents here, but this fjompen which is his own heroin. bae systems
Anyone know when they like about this prize? Considering getting up since I could be at work kl.05 tomorrow morning .. Is there some kind of overview of the sequence prizes are awarded in one place?
