Sukho Su-30 was widely tipped to shift the procurement of 126 Rafale fighter jets from India. This news comes after protracted discussion of the final contract of the jet procurement. India asks remain as the initial contract which mentions only 18 aircraft were imported jpl and Dassault and the rest manufactured in India under license. But Dassault would not accept it. The Ministry of Defence was even called the Su-30 as an alternative if the deal is eventually canceled.
