A graduate of the University of Framingham (1970), the teacher was chosen by the Reagan administration to board the 10th mission of the Space Shuttle Challenger as the first "passing" of space. This symbolic choice fell on a very representative teacher of American middle class. The will of Reagan was to make one day space accessible to all, McAuliffe to be the symbol (duly selected) of this turning point in the history of space exploration.
I remember very well that pretty teacher woman who was a joy to participate in this adventure astronauts !!! what to say ... I think that was his destiny ... in terms of exchange of atc I'm in !!!
